Welcome to the Benedictine catering! Our mission is to provide you with exceptional quality, exceptional service and a creative cutting-edge culinary experience. Our professional staff is available to assist in planning your special event Monday-Friday 5:00am - 8:00pm and Saturday-Sunday 5:00am-7:00pm. The pricing quoted in the catering menu is based upon the per-person or events described therein. Based upon the nature of the event, there may be additional charges or fees that will apply. For further details concerning these fees and event information please contact the catering office.

DEADLINES

All orders for meals, refreshments, breaks and receptions must be placed a minimum of five business days before the event date and finalized no less than three business days in advance. Benedictine Catering will work with clients on any last minute requests; however, menu items may be limited based on availability and fees may apply. Benedictine Catering will do its best to accommodate any last minute needs.

STUDENT MENU

Student Menu is built for student organizations budgets, Our Student menu is built as a pick up or drop off event only and all items will be placed on disposable trays where clients are responsible for set up and break down.

PAYMENT

All payments including department billing, credit cards and checks must be received at least three business days prior to your event. A deposit may be required at the time of booking.

GUARANTEED GUEST COUNTS

The guaranteed guest count is due five business days prior to your first scheduled event, and may not be decreased once confirmed. The client will be billed on the final guest count or the actual meals served, whichever is greater. Benedictine Catering will make every attempt to accommodate an increase in guest count after the final guarantee is due; however any increases may result in additional fees based on menu availability.

MEETING ROOMS AND EQUIPMENT

High quality gathering space is available for booking through 25 live. Benedictine Catering does not coordinate booking of room space. Please reserve all non-food service equipment by completing the event set up form through 25 live. For additional information please contact Diana Bolker at 630-829-6434. Benedictine Catering is not responsible for providing set up or removal of equipment reserved through the Event Services office of reservations. Catering at Benedictine is not responsible for personal belongings left in public areas. Clients will be billed for replacement costs of missing or damaged catering equipment or supplies.

CANCELLATIONS

Cancellations must be made 5 business days prior to the event date. Cancellations made in less than 5 business days prior to the event date will be billed 50% of the total bill. Events cancelled less than two business prior to the event date will be billed for 100% of the total bill.

CONFIRMATION ORDERS

Acceptance and approval of the event must be received by Benedictine at the time the event is entered in catering site.

ATTENDANT FEES

(1) Bartenders will be charged at the rate of $100 for two hours, provided the event is catered by Benedictine. Events that are not catered by Benedictine that require bartender services will be charged at the rate of $150 for every two hours.
(2) Live cooking and action stations will be charged $25.00 per hour for events.
(3) Delivery charges may occur. Please contact your catering director for more information.
(4) All Alcohol services require approval and an alcohol permit through Benedictine.

FOOD SAFETY

Food safety and sanitation is a top priority for us. Any unused food remains the property of Benedictine University and cannot be removed from an event in accordance with state health regulations. All condiments and disposables also remain the property of Benedictine.

OUTSIDE OF BENEDICTINE

Please ensure a food staging area and service tables are reserved when a kitchen facility is not available.
Please make sure venues and buildings are unlocked two hours before the start of the event. Delivery of orders outside of Bendictine will incur a $20.00 delivery/drop-off. Clean up for late night and weekend functions may occur on the next business day.
